STOP the FBI from Spying on US!
Last year alone, the rights and privacy of 278,000 Americans were violated by the FBI without even a warrant. This was done under the guise of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and specifically the problematic Section 702.
Section 702 is up for annual renewal right now. There are two bills in the U.S. House that begin to address this problem — HR 6570 and HR 6611 — but neither of these bills adequately protect the privacy of Americans.
Contact Congress to demand support for the necessary reforms to protect our privacy and constitutional rights.

Dear Legislator,
I urge you to support efforts to reform the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and specifically Section 702. The FBI has used FISA to invade the privacy of 278,000 Americans without even a warrant. HR 6570 goes too far, giving extraordinary protections to foreign nationals. HR 6611 does not go far enough to safeguard protections for U.S. citizens.
-
There should be greater privacy protections for Americans.
-
The FBI should be stopped from conducting unrestricted queries of this database when there is no probable cause.
I ask that you reform Section 702 of FISA and stop the abuse.
Sincerely,
(Your Name)
