Even More Left: Tim Walz’s ‘Neighborliness’ Is In Fact Radical Socialism

Aug 21, 2024

In recent years, America has witnessed its fair share of radical candidates emerging from the shadows, but even the most astute political observers have been stunned by one in particular — Tim Walz, VP candidate for the Democrat Party — who embodies a radical unprecedented liberal intensity.

"Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” Walz says. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness."

Tim Walz’s recent comment on a “White Dudes for Harris” call summarizes one of the most insidious ulterior motives of the Democratic presidential ticket: normalize radical socialism.

Walz himself comes across as a relatable Midwestern high school teacher, and while his demeanor is disarming, his stances on the issues are anything but. Kamala Harris’ running mate is a radical progressive in a political moderate’s clothing.

Reckless and Radical Record

In Congress, his votes tended to toe the party line, at times requiring him to defend his more liberal votes to those at home in his swing district. His record in Congress includes voting against protecting babies who survive abortion from receiving lifesaving medical care to also voting against protecting babies who feel pain from abortion.

As governor, he turned Minnesota into a progressive policy experiment, abortion sanctuary, and "trans refuge.” Under his watch, Minnesota enacted some of the most radical abortion and LGBTQ laws in the country, including a repeal of protections for babies who survive botched abortions.

Walz also signed a law allowing the state to take “emergency custody” of minors seeking “gender-affirming care,” essentially permitting the state to kidnap children whose parents don’t affirm their child’s “transgender” delusions while the child undergoes so-called “treatment” that could include genital mutilation and, in females, mastectomies.

While the full ramifications of the policies he signed into law remain to be seen, Minnesotans are exiting the state en masse, driven by burdensome tax rates and tyrannical progressive policies.

Incompetence and Intentional Irresponsibility

It’s not just his extreme policies that are concerning. Walz’s incompetence (and deliberate negligence) as an executive is equally horrendous, having repeatedly failed to enforce the laws he was meant to administer.

Perhaps the most appalling example relates to his failure to enforce the 2015 Born Alive Infants Protection Act: Eight infants died under his watch after surviving a failed abortion prior to his repeal of the law.

Walz was not only content to allow this gross violation of the law, but he repealed the law and the very reporting requirements that alerted the world of his abject failure.

Why repeal reporting requirements? Perhaps to hide the horror of what the leftist agenda means in practice: Leaving innocent, helpless babies to die while abortionists stand idly by, preparing for their next murder.

Sadly, these were not the only deaths that perhaps could have been prevented under Walz’s leadership.

Under Walz’s notorious mismanagement of the 2020 riots after the death of George Floyd, Minneapolis quick descended into lawlessness and anarchy. Yet, to date, no one seems to have accepted responsibility for the death and destruction that resulted. Walz, in fact, tried to shift blame to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey — who, in turn, tried to shift blame back.

Instead of ensuring a stop to the riots after Frey’s inaction, Walz allowed the unrest to escalate to a dangerous degree, leading to the death of three citizens, as well as injuries to citizens and law enforcement amid “[L]ooting, vandalism, loss of business, and the destruction of public and personal property totaling ... over $500 million.”

Failing to fully mobilize the National Guard after multiple requests from the Minneapolis mayor for National Guard resources, the riots “went unchecked for approximately five days.”

A report from a Minnesota Senate committee summarizes it best: “Governor Walz ... initially chose to negotiate with and appease the rioters rather than give law enforcement the authority to confront criminal acts with enough force to restore law and order, which by the way, is a primary responsibility of the Office of the Governor and local elected officials. Inaction on the part of state and local officials led to an increase in violence.”

In other words, Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

A mix of Walz’s incompetence and negligence allowed rioters to essentially burn the largest city in his state to the ground during the “summer of love.”

If the above does not make one question his ability to lead, I am not sure anything will — but just in case, there’s more.

In yet another shocking example of failed leadership, Walz oversaw the most massive “Covid-19 fraud scheme in the nation,” as $250 million meant to feed hungry children was embezzled for other purposes. Upon learning of this fraud, the Department of Education under Walz started to investigate and stopped payments — until the Walz administration was accused of discrimination. Seemingly to appease the minority immigrant population, Walz eventually “allowed the fraudulent payments to continue,” hurting Minnesotan families to score cheap political points.

Don’t be deceived. See through what is portrayed as Walz’s fatherly facade: he is a radical who comes across softened by his Midwestern mannerisms. Contrary to the narrative the media is trying to fabricate, there is nothing moderate about Tim Walz, whose policies are even more left of Kamala’s.

If Walz’s radical trajectory of progressivism continues as it has throughout his career, a Harris/Walz White House would impose extremist, socialistic policies that would cause even the Biden administration to blush.

As GOP vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance said, “he may be ... even more of a liberal than [Kamala] is, if that's even humanly possible." Indeed, he may also be even more incompetent — if that were even humanly possible, as well.
