The Vermont legislature is considering a bill that would legalize abortion for all nine months. The bill states, that a preborn child "shall not have independent rights under Vermont law."

This is barbaric! It would allow sex-selection abortions and could even open the door for people to keep a child living until 39 weeks for the purpose of then harvesting his or her organs!

The bill recognizes “a fundamental right to the freedom of reproductive choice,” but it forgets that one’s right to life is significantly more fundamental than that!   

In following in the steps of New York and Delaware, Vermont is the new ground zero in the battle for life. This new bill is co-sponsored by 91 out of 180 state legislators. Democrats and progressives combined hold a two-thirds majority.

We need to pray and to act on behalf of the unborn and newborn in our nation. 

Moving south to Virginia, the silence from Democrat leadership was deafening after Governor Ralph Northam advocated for withholding medical care from unwanted newborn babies. Even when the governor indicated his support for killing newborns if agreed upon by a doctor and the mother, no Democrat presidential candidate came out against infanticide!

However, since Gov. Northam was exposed as pictured in a yearbook either in a KKK outfit or in blackface, now a growing number of high-ranking Democrat leaders are demanding he resign.

The hypocrisy of the left is shocking!!!

Wearing makeup 35 years ago associated with inappropriately mocking African-Americans makes Democrat leadership call for the end of a political career. In contrast, just last week it was perfectly acceptable to advocate for the legal right to murder helpless newborn babies!

We must stand in the face of their silence for preborn and newborn children!

I was on the phone last week advising changes to Virginia legislation with a member of the state legislator. Now the Virginia pro-abortion bill that Gov. Northam was supporting has been tabled and effectively stopped.

Liberty Counsel Action has been very active on Capitol Hill pushing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. We are excited to have allies like Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Ben Sasse. In addition, there are four more pro-life bills at the national level that we are actively supporting to restore protections for life across America.
