Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker threatened to make Illinois one of "the most progressive states in the nation for access to reproductive health care." And he is doing that in deadly fashion!

The current bill actually includes infanticide in its definition of abortion! It says abortion includes the use of anything "with an intention other than...to preserve the life or health of the child after live birth..." That is simply barbaric!

In addition, HB 2495 will do all of the following:

• Allow elective abortions on viable babies
• Authorize nurses and physician's assistants to provide abortions
• Remove a stated preference for saving the baby's life when possible
• Reject the requirement that a second doctor be ready for viable-age babies in case they are born alive
• Explicitly state that the baby has "no rights"
• Deny religious doctors the freedom of conscience to decline to perform an abortion
• Exempts nearly all abortion clinics from health regulation standards

I haven't heard from you yet regarding our pledge for life. We need people to rise up across our nation to be a voice for the voiceless - to pray and work to save these little lives.
