Iowa Alert: Vaccine Passport Bill on Governor’s Desk . . .

May 11, 2021

I need your help.

The Iowa state legislature just passed a good bill that would prohibit any funding for government or private businesses that discriminate against people who don't have a COVID vaccine. This bipartisan legislation is a good start to protect people who decline to take the injection.

Right now, this legislation is sitting on the desk of Gov. Kim Reynolds. She has not yet signed it. A week has gone by since this bill passed the legislature. Utah, Florida and Montana governors have signed similar, even stronger legislation.

I encourage you to call your governor and urge her to sign House Bill 889.

The governor's number is 515-281-5211; and her office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. And here is a form where you can email her. Please do not delay.

Example script to Gov. Reynolds:

My name is ___ and I live in ____. I urge Gov. Kim Reynolds to sign House Bill 889 to protect the freedom of Iowans to make the personal decision to take or decline the COVID injection. Thank you!

The Bill:

The decision to take a COVID shot must be your free choice. Anyone who wishes to get the injection can still do so under this law. It just prohibits your tax dollars from going to groups that discriminate based on vaccine status.

Please consider donating to LC Action to empower us to alert people like you all across America at critical moments like today. We are tracking 46 bills across 22 states, and your donation will enable us to provide these same tools to other states to help them win the freedoms that you are on the cusp of receiving.

Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this important matter. I encourage you to forward this email to other likeminded people in your state.

Sincerely,
