I warned you that predatory pedophiles will be coming after young girls and boys. But in North Carolina, it’s already happening. In discussing child marriages, an N.C. registrar said she had to marry off a young Hispanic boy to a 78-year-old man. The boy confided in her that he “was making money from the marriage,” reports stated.
This is not marriage. It is vile, permanent prostitution.
Yet the registrar felt there was nothing she could do to stop it. North Carolina is becoming a destination wedding spot, but not in a good way.
This state has some of the lowest age requirements for marriage of any state in the Southeast, just 14 if a girl is pregnant or 16 for no reason at all to an adult of any age. I’ll share below how money isn’t the only reason pushing kids into these so-called “marriages.”
On Capitol Hill, HR 8404 will not only force same-sex marriage on every state and territory even when the Supreme Court overturns its 2015 ruling; it will also allow a few states and territories to force every state and territory to adopt their debase marriage laws. The abuse will increase!
HR 8404 has disastrous consequences. It will enable pedophile rapists and homosexual playboys to continue abusing children with no fear of justice. This bill would force the worst marriage laws on everyone. Rush your urgent faxes to every senator you can to block this bill. Already at least five Republicans are supporting this bill, and Democrats just need five more to pass it. — Mat
North Carolina has zero restrictions on the age gap for marrying a minor.
The registrar in Guilford County, N.C., has granted nearly 200 marriages of minors over 10 years. “Most of the couples were Southeast Asian or Central American and Mexican immigrants, some of whom may be undocumented and looking for legal protection through marriage,” a report stated.
Now, in essence, we have these children (or their parents) who are selling their bodies in an effort to obtain citizenship.
Another NC registrar stated, “We’ve become essentially this sanctuary state for child marriages which is awful. We’ve come to this destination that we don’t want to be.”
But—if this oxymoronic “Respect for Marriage” bill is passed—what will happen is that one radical state, territory or even a “possession” of the United States will dictate the marriage laws for the entire nation.
At the same time, it removes ALL religious exemptions for government officials to be able to freely object to these “marriages.” The hard fight we waged for Kim Davis and other Kentucky clerks to protect their religious freedom will be erased!
This is a recipe for unmitigated disaster and it must be stopped!
It’s not just what these registrars see at work. For some, it’s personal. Tonia Hampton, the registrar who married the Hispanic boy to the 78-year-old man, grew up in a family with this dynamic. Tonia’s mother was married at age 15 to a 24-year-old man to escape a very poor family with an abusive father.
Things didn’t get much better. Tonia saw her mother in this dysfunctional and painful relationship before she finally called it off.
Tonia’s mother was not the first child bride in their family. Tonia’s grandmother was also married when she was just 14. You may think this is just the past—but it is also the present, and the abuse has become much worse as moral values have plummeted.
Back at work, Tonia says one of the “marriages” especially sticks out in her mind. It was between a “crying 16-year-old marrying an incarcerated man twice her age.” Tonia said the “mother was so ecstatic.” She thought the mother wanted to marry the inmate herself.
“I was just appalled, but what do you do?” Tonia shared. “I just felt like if I had some options to say no, I may have prevented them a lot of heartache.”
However, the bill in Congress will permanently silence people like Tonia with the constant threat of government and private lawsuits if they dare object—all while it enables child pedophiles and same-sex abusers!
We must stop this bill. It is nothing more than government-enabled abuse, plain and simple, encouraged by HR 8404. This bill already passed the House, and now is our opportunity to stop it. Rush urgent faxes to the Senate against HR 8404.
If this bill passes, it will make each state subservient to the lowest common denominator of “marriage.” If it passes, every state will be forced to recognize all sorts of “marriage” perversion.
We must block this bill, and the time is short. The momentum is building. We can stop HR 8404 if we don’t quit.
