“Christian Nationalism” is a term used to vilify and silence people of faith. For the record, I don’t know anyone who identifies as a “Christian Nationalist.”

It is used as a political term to conjure up frightening images that portray Christians as lawless and violent and who want a government-imposed religious creed forced on the populace. The idea of forcing Christian beliefs is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus.

The term “Christian Nationalist” is a dangerous lie used to intimidate and silence.  

The dark history of the 1940s was only possible because of what transpired in the 1930s. Nazi Germany falsely demonized Jews, instilled unfounded fear that Jews were planning to take over the world and blamed them for disease and the ills of society. Too many pastors, churches and people of faith were silent.  

Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.” In other words, SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Shamefully, Joe Biden used the backdrop of two Marines as he delivered an angry and dangerous speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia on September 1. In that speech, he labeled “MAGA Republicans” as a “clear and present danger.”

He said that “MAGA Republicans were lawless and violent. How ironic that we obtained a classwide preliminary injunction against the Biden administration because of its lawlessness in violating the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The timing and obvious reason for Biden’s speech is, of course, the midterm elections. He is worried about the outcome. We should be too. If Biden and his followers succeed in silencing people of faith, then we should be worried.

Biden has already said he intends to codify abortion as a federal law, to pass the “Equality Act” that is the most radical LGBTQ bill imaginable, and he will use government agencies to silence and, yes, even jail people with whom he disagrees. 

Biden has already used the FBI in pre-dawn raids of innocent pro-lifers in their homes.

Biden, like Obama, has used government agencies to target people with whom he disagrees. Under Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and IRS employee Lois Lerner were held in contempt of Congress, but neither one served a day in jail.

But Steve Bannon received a four-month prison sentence. MSNBC alleged Bannon was trying to “summon an army of Christian nationalists.”

In his speech, Biden said that “MAGA Republicans” were a “clear and present danger.” This is astounding and dangerous. This phrase comes from a Supreme Court case. To mitigate against a “clear and present danger,” the government may seek to violate your First Amendment rights to speech, religion, redress and assembly.

This is the America that radicals are envisioning for us. Be warned, if you remain silent, they are coming for you.

Their rhetoric has turned deadly serious, and our rights and freedom are under the greatest threat I have ever seen.
