A first-year children’s doctor was approached by a nurse. “She told me there was a baby crying on the garbage can in the little treatment room.”  

But even that didn’t prepare Dr. Rocco Pascucci for what he was about to discover. A newborn baby had been abandoned in the medicine closet. This new doctor found him crying, stuffed inside a hospital blanket and left on top of a metal trashcan lid … to die.

And in 32 states, there is no law against killing these newborns. Sometimes their organs are harvested to sell for profit. And those involved in this dark practice still walk free — just because the baby was “earmarked” for abortion.

The Senate has pulled the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act out of committee by invoking Rule 14 so the bill can come to the floor for a vote at any moment. Now is the time to act to demand that these precious little lives are protected from this evil.

Tell the senators to stop the slaughter and urge them to pass the Born Alive Act to mandate appropriate medical care and punishments if care is withheld. Send critical faxes to stand up for these little ones. —Mat

Dr. Pascucci was filled with compassion when he saw this baby boy. He immediately started giving lifesaving care — warmth, oxygen and nutrition — to the baby who was estimated to be at around 24 weeks of development. Once the baby boy was stabilized, Dr. Pascucci was suddenly interrupted.

“A high-risk OB/GYN came in and yelled at me,” Dr. Pascucci said. “He told me I had just saved an abortion. He got into a huff and walked out.” 

Dr. Pascucci was told he had saved “an abortion,” not a life, not a child … To the other “doctor” this baby boy was nothing more than a failed abortion — a blot on his record that would only be fixed by killing the helpless infant.

What occurred in this hospital continues to happen where there’s no punishment for withholding treatment or outright killing a newborn baby.

With quick thinking and, thankfully, thick skin, Dr. Pascucci saved that child. And he gave the baby boy the opportunity to be a perfectly healthy infant that can grow up to experience life.

Tragically, little has changed for abortion survivors. And it won’t change unless you and I demand change.

If anything — it’s gotten worse. Instead of leaving these children to die, some abortion clinics affiliated with Planned Parenthood were caught “harvesting” body parts from babies, through the undercover journalism of Liberty Counsel’s client, Sandra Merritt.

One doctor illegally altered the abortion procedure, putting the mother at greater risk, to obtain intact organs that fetch higher selling prices. 

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, a medical director for Planned Parenthood, said,

So then you’re just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact. And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex, because when it’s vertex presentation, you never have enough dilation at the beginning of the case, unless you have real, huge amount of dilation to deliver an intact calvarium. So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end … And, we’ve been pretty successful with that, I’d say.

Instead of saving these children, they cut them up for profit — while some are very much alive and have every bit the potential that you or I had at birth.

We need your help to get this information into the hands of every senator who can STOP these unspeakable horrors. We need to make sure that they can never again say they did not know.

From California to Washington, D.C., newborn babies are being murdered, and nothing is being done about it. Some experts estimate that there have been more than 17,000 children who survived abortion but were killed for profit or cruelly neglected until they died.

We must end infanticide in America! This bill has already passed the U.S. House and can be ready for a vote on the floor at any moment!
