Speaker Mike Johnson and sixty-four U.S. legislators just visited our southern border. Upon their return, the U.S. House immediately started on the process to impeach U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

“We have a national catastrophe here and, of course, huge national security concerns as well,” Speaker Johnson warned.

Additionally, a team of legislators is in intense budget negotiations with the White House on this border crisis. Our Liberty Counsel Action team members are meeting on Capitol Hill today with some of the people directly involved in this negotiation process. It is critical to make your voice heard on Capitol Hill to stop the illegal invasion on the southern border.

Last month set a record of illegal crossings at more than 276,000 people. That is equal to the entire population of cities, like Richmond, VA; Pittsburgh, PA; Plano, TX; Reno, NV; Boise, ID; and many others! From October through December, more than 760,000 people illegally invaded America.

We have the opportunity to stop this madness through the budget process, but the clock is rapidly ticking. Your voice is critical on Capitol Hill. The open border is having a massive impact on crime, overwhelming available resources, and killing people with fentanyl from China. DEMAND that Congress exercise the power of the purse to secure the border.

House leadership has documented 64 instances where Joe Biden and his administration have intentionally broken our laws and harmed our nation by not securing the borders.

Since October alone, more than 760,000 people have illegally crossed our southern border. Only 17 cities in America have a larger population. And that is just the number of people who have entered in the last three months under Biden.

The damage that is happening to America is irreparable. Lives are lost daily. There is no time to waste. Organized crime is active and growing because of these illegal crossings. The flow of drugs, human trafficking, and horrific abuse are commonplace on this trip across the border.

And what happened to Israel on Oct. 7 can just as easily happen here in America. Our open border policies are causing deaths and lawlessness. Tragic stories are happening every day. But we can stop it. Congress holds the purse, and they can draw the line on what should be a bipartisan issue. 

Our nation is harmed by many of the actions of those who crossed illegally. “Non-citizens constitute only about 7 percent of the U.S. population,” but “non-citizens accounted for nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of all federal arrests in 2018. … Non-citizens accounted for 24 percent of all federal drug arrests, 25 percent of all federal property arrests, and 28 percent of all federal fraud arrests,” according to The Heritage Foundation. But under the Biden administration, the situation is much worse.

In San Diego alone, 3,000 illegal immigrants were dropped off in a residential neighborhood by the federal government. But that is just a fraction of the 2,388,350 government encounters with illegals in the fiscal year 2023 alone, according to Fox News.

In addition to the crime against U.S. citizens, women and children illegally crossing the border are being sex-trafficked in the world’s second-largest criminal enterprise generating an estimated 150 billion dollars annually.

Of the total number in the U.S., about 72% of the victims are illegal immigrants. Sex trafficking in America cannot be adequately addressed unless the illegal border crossings are stopped.

We must stop this invasion of America. We haven’t even begun to talk about terrorists who are crossing the border. Please urge Congress to act today.

We must end the lawlessness, and stop violent murderers, drug lords, MS-13 gang members, and terrorists. We cannot do that with open borders.
