Advancing Life and Liberty Through Action
Jun 11, 2024
We are witnessing a MASSIVE messaging problem that can have catastrophic effects.
One national poll claims that 31% of women who voted for President Trump “disapprove” of overturning Roe v. Wade. Supposedly, about one-third of “white evangelical voters in both Kentucky and Michigan” voted to increase abortion access! And as many as one in four “pro-life” voters allegedly plan to support pro-abortion state initiatives on the ballot this fall.
Activists want the public to believe there is widespread support for abortion. But a poll by Ragner Research Partners shows that 62% of likely Florida voters supported the six-week Heartbeat Protection Act. Support is the highest among Hispanic voters at 76% with 61% support among Independents.
We must address these misunderstandings!
Democrats are running on abortion and some Republicans are running from it. The disparity in the polls is affecting Congress! There is an extreme abortion bill in the U.S. House that will permit abortion for any reason up to birth, and it will override every state law.
The “Women’s Health Protection Act” (HR 12 and S 701) is the most extreme abortion bill. It just reached 211 confirmed votes in the U.S. House. Democrats only need a couple of votes to pass HR 12. Send your urgent faxes to block this bill and save lives! — Mat
We are facing a multi-front battle for life, and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the children and mothers whose lives are hanging in the balance.
The fight for life in the states . . .
We are involved in many states. But Florida illustrates the battle we face. On April 1, 2024, the Florida Supreme Court overruled its terrible 1989 T.W. opinion, finding there is no right to abortion in the Florida Constitution. This ruling upheld the 15-week law, which then triggered the six-week Heartbeat Protection Act to become effective on May 1.
Prior to April 1, Florida was an abortion destination. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, out-of-state abortions have more than doubled. About 85,000 babies are aborted in Florida every year. But with this decision, the Heartbeat Law went into effect. Combined with 25 million dollars annually to help women during pregnancy and after giving birth, Florida moved from the most extreme abortion state to one of the most pro-life states.
But that could change in November because an abortion amendment is on the ballot. Amendment 4 in Florida would allow abortion for any reason up to birth. We are working to educate voters about this extremely deceptive amendment. Thankfully, Florida requires 60% to pass a voter initiative.
The fight for life in Congress . . .
But members of Congress are facing pressure to pass HR 12, which would be far worse than Roe v. Wade. This would preempt every state law.
Section 3 of the bill states that any and all restrictions, or any and all rules, laws, and policies that might delay an abortion, must be erased. That means that ultrasound laws, which have saved many children, will be eliminated. Parental rights also will be eliminated. Section 3 also insists that state and local regulations that force abortion clinics to meet the same health and safety standards as any other surgical center should be abolished. Any law that could make abortion “more difficult to access” would be gone.
The bill states that any restriction based on the age of the unborn child must be overturned. Laws like Florida’s “Heartbeat Law” and even the federal partial birth abortion ban will be overturned, and unlimited abortion on demand up until birth will be the law of this American land.
So who is really being “protected” in this bill?
Section 2.10 admits what this bill is REALLY about. It claims that abortion bans reduce patient access to health care services, including “contraceptive services,” “sexually transmitted disease testing,” and “LGBTQ” services. In other words, it refers to the services Planned Parenthood offers in addition to its primary profit center — baby killing.
The Democrats are very close to passing this extreme abortion bill. They only need a couple more votes. Please help us at this critical time.
The right to life is the preeminent right of all rights. This is the most important battle. Religious freedom is meaningless to a corpse.
