TODAY, the U.S. House of Representatives is voting on a critical bill to STOP activist judges from seizing power nationwide with the stroke of a pen.

Federal judges have been usurping authority by blocking laws and executive actions and seizing control of the country with so-called nationwide injunctions that extend far beyond the parties to the case.

This is pure judicial tyranny.

Thankfully, Rep. Darrell Issa’s “No Rogue Rulings Act” (NORRA), HR 5646, is being voted on TODAY on the U.S. House floor to rein in this abuse in the lower courts. This bill would LIMIT judges from issuing sweeping nationwide injunctions that impact people, states, and even international groups far outside their jurisdiction.

We are asking you RIGHT NOW to demand Congress put an end to this outrageous power grab by activist judges. HR 1526 will limit these injunctions to only apply to those who are a named party of a particular case.

Urge Congress to support these two bills to end nationwide injunctions and those that extend beyond the parties to the case.

The U.S. Senate is already considering this issue but needs to take urgent action. This fight is heating up fast.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) opened up the Senate Judiciary Committee for a powerful hearing this month exposing the growing abuse of nationwide injunctions. He issued a blistering warning about how activist judges are using these injunctions to override Congress, the president, and even the Supreme Court.

“Universal injunctions transform district judges from being deciders of individual cases into policymakers who can effectively veto federal laws, policies, and regulations across the entire country,” Sen. Grassley said. “Congress did not authorize this practice. The Constitution did not authorize this practice. And the Supreme Court has not authorized this practice.”

One federal judge — sitting in San Francisco or New York or Washington State — is dictating policy for the entire nation. That’s NOT how our system is supposed to work.

Even legal experts admit this is a dangerous abuse of power. “It just can’t be right that one district judge can stop a nationwide policy in its tracks and leave it stopped for the years that it takes to go through the normal process,” said Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan in 2022.
