This Will Stop Activist Judges

Apr 14, 2025

Last week, the U.S. House passed a bill to rein in rogue judges. The last hurdle is the U.S. Senate.

Judicial overreach is a serious battle that demands our immediate attention, but it is part of a much larger war for the future of our nation — one that we must win to save America! We are at a crossroads to determine the future of our nation. Urge the Senate to pass the “No Rogue Rulings Act” (NORRA). HR 1526 will keep judges in their lane and keep them from issuing nationwide injunctions, and allow President Trump to do his job.

Some members of Congress like these activist judges because their nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) receive substantial — and questionable — federal funding.

One glaring example is Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), who is accused of backing laws that financially benefit his wife's environmental organization. Since 2008, Ocean Conservancy is an “NGO” that has received over 14.2 million dollars in federal grants, with more than 6.9 million dollars awarded in 2024 alone. All made possible with the support of a bill that Sen. Whitehouse supported.

Sen. Whitehouse’s wife, Dr. Sandra Whitehouse, lists her roles with Ocean Conservancy as both consultant and senior policy advisor. Those grants were enabled by a vote from her husband. Tax documents show that since “2010, Ocean Conservancy has paid Whitehouse a total of $2,686,800 either directly or through her firm,” according to Fox News.

This raises serious ethical concerns about conflicts of interest and the misuse of our taxpayer dollars.

The fight to pass this bill in the Senate will not be easy.

And this is exactly why we MUST rein in rogue judges, handpicked for their beliefs, and stop them from ruining our republic by taking control of our entire nation.

Restoring our judicial branch

What is happening now is far from what the Founding Fathers established. The judiciary was supposed to be the “least dangerous” branch of government, possessing “neither force nor will, but merely judgment.” Alexander Hamilton articulated this in Federalist No. 78, emphasizing that the judiciary would be the weakest of the three branches. It lacks the military control held in the White House and the financial control housed in Congress.

Initially, the Supreme Court even lacked a dedicated location, convening in various borrowed spaces. When the federal government moved to Washington, D.C., in 1800, the Supreme Court borrowed space in the basement of the Capitol building, sharing quarters with other governmental functions in what is now called the “Old Supreme Court Chamber.”

Only in the last 90 years did the Supreme Court get its own building.

That move mirrors the judicial transformation that has happened over that period of time. In recent years, we've witnessed an alarming trend of lower court judges issuing nationwide injunctions that effectively paralyze our nation. It is now to the point that lower court judges are controlling the White House and overturning the will of the people.

This No Rogue Rulings Act is a step in the right direction to restrain the courts back to their constitutionally intended limits. This is critical to restore the balance of power between the three federal branches. Urge the Senate to better restore the limited role our Constitution intended for the judicial branch.

The first time Trump was in office, there were 86 cases in which national injunctions were issued against his administration. However, when Biden got into the White House, he only faced one-third that number. Now with President Trump’s second term, radicals are on track to well exceed his first term in the first 100 days!
