BREAKING: House Floor Vote This Week

May 19, 2025

Days of tense debate led to a breakthrough last night after 10 p.m. The U.S. House Committee on the Budget passed President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” out of committee. The bill failed to pass last Friday, but the members were called back Sunday for a rare late-night vote to pass this critical hurdle.

This sets the stage for a full House floor showdown THIS WEEK.

Our tax dollars have propped up personal agendas, from clinics offering abortion on demand, to waste and fraud, to the Green New Deal. But we can end this abuse if we act NOW!

Every member of Congress needs to hear from you immediately to defund Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion.

Fax Congress to Stop using my money to murder children! Defund the abortion industry permanently!

This late Sunday night vote changed everything.

This is one of the strongest bills in decades — and it just got better. Four conservatives — Reps. Chip Roy (R-TX), Josh Brecheen (R-OK), Ralph Norman (R-SC), and Andrew Clyde (R-GA) — successfully forced key changes to the bill that tightened safeguards against Medicaid fraud and cut off Green New Deal loopholes buried deep in the original language. These four members voted “present,” which allowed the bill to move forward, while getting concessions on these improvements.

We believe your encouragement to them paid off, and they took a bold stand to strengthen this bill while also allowing it to move forward.

On the House floor, leadership can only lose three votes and still pass this bill. This vote with four “present” shows that House Majority Leader Mike Johnson is working under extremely tight margins.

This bill is a clear path to cut billions in waste hidden behind euphemisms like “family planning,” “community investment,” and “reproductive health equity.”

This bill threatens the very infrastructure they’ve built with your tax dollars — and they’re working overtime to kill it before it reaches the floor. Tell Congress to stop funding Big Abortion groups that are taking our money and ending the lives of precious children.

For too long, activists have hidden behind layers of bureaucracy to fund abortion, indoctrination, and climate extremism. Your tax dollars have been weaponized against everything you believe. Now — for the first time in years — Congress has the chance to shut it down.

This isn’t a symbolic gesture. If this budget passes the House and continues through the Senate, we can:

  • Eliminate hundreds of millions in federal giveaways to abortion clinics masquerading as “health centers.”

  • Slash climate “resiliency” money to radical eco-groups.

  • Crack down on Medicaid fraud, saving billions and protecting vulnerable Americans from exploitation, and so much more.

These are significant wins — but they won’t survive unless we stand firm. Speaker Johnson encouraged members to stay unified and get this bill across the finish line. That kind of leadership shows we have momentum, but it also signals how high the stakes are and how narrow the margins are.

Because of this courage and determination, and the hands-on work of House Speaker Mike Johnson, this bill moved forward with stronger auditing requirements to detect and prevent Medicaid abuse and tighter restrictions on climate “resilience” slush funds.

But don’t think for a second the battle is won. Some are already spinning it as “heartless cuts” — even though it’s our communities, our values, and our wallets that have been under attack for years. That’s why we must flood Congress with faxes before the floor vote this week.

The truth is, the only reason this bill even made it out of committee is because patriots like you have been standing guard — raising your voice, demanding accountability, and calling out the corruption in the budget.

Now we need you again. If you stay silent, the radicals win — again. They’ll keep using your money to fund abortion clinics, abortion pills in schools, activist doctors in Medicaid, and gender ideology in children’s clinics. But together, if you stand up, if you speak out, and if you fax Congress now, we can change the course of this nation.

This is your opportunity to make a tangible difference — and to help Liberty Counsel Action continue fighting on Capitol Hill for this and every battle to come. Please consider a generous gift of 50, 75, 100 dollars, or more to help us mobilize the grassroots.

We’ve never been this close. Let’s finish what we started.
