Midnight Amendments in the Senate Might Undo Everything

We are standing at the edge of the most significant prolife victory since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022.

The U.S. Senate is expected to vote any moment now on the federal budget bill — a bill that could DEFUND Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion for the next ten years.

But this victory isn’t locked in. In fact, these final hours could be the most significant. Some in the Senate are desperate to gut these defunding provisions — and if they succeed, everyone will pay the price.

Even after Dobbs came out three years ago yesterday, through Medicaid and Title X, Planned Parenthood confirmed that the majority of its clients are using our tax dollars to pay for their “services.” This must end now!

This battle is far from over. And these final hours in the Senate could be the most dangerous. The Senate needs to hear from you to keep fighting the radicals who are desperate to strip this provision out of the budget.

The Senate floor is now wide open. Hundreds of amendments will be proposed by Democrats to clog the process. We expect some will be offered in the dead of night. Some may be only a few words long — just enough to strike out a critical line or redirect your tax dollars right back to these deadly abortion vendors.

This will be a fight in the Senate over commas, clauses, and phrases. It’s how the Democrats plan to win — in the fine print.

Our team is in the thick of it. But we need you in this fight right now.

We are approaching the finish line. But if we lose focus and stop urging our legislators in these final hours, Planned Parenthood wins — and babies lose their lives.

The good news? So far, the Senate version of this bill still includes prolife provisions to cut off taxpayer funds from abortion providers.

But the bad news? Everything is on the line this week.

Senate Democrats only need a simple majority of whoever is present to pass amendments. And if they slip in late-night change — the damage could be irreversible. If you have already sent faxes, please do so again.

We are watching two Senators this week:

Sens. Ron Johnson and Mike Lee. These two conservative leaders are holding the line for the prolife and fiscal conservative base. They are our bellwethers for whether this bill keeps the trust of the House Freedom Caucus when it returns to the Senate floor.

This floor vote is not the end. After the Senate vote, the bill heads to a conference committee — where Senators and House members hammer out the final version between chambers. What survives that conference will be sent to President Trump for signature.

That’s why we cannot let our guard down for even one hour.

This week is like Christmas Eve for the legislative elves — but instead of wrapping gifts, we’re guarding against hidden landmines buried in hundreds of floor amendments.

There are no ribbons and bows here — just life or death decisions that will determine whether babies are saved … or slaughtered.

We must watch every line, every word, and every comma.

What good is overturning Roe if we keep writing checks to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry?

It is time — past time — to end this blood-money cycle. Planned Parenthood and its allies should not get one more cent from taxpayers.
