The Senate vote will take place at any moment. This is the moment.

The budget bill on the floor could DEFUND Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion for the next 10 years — but only if we don’t lose at the last second.

The Senate vote is on restricting any funds from going to any organization that is primarily involved in “family planning” or “reproductive health,” that performs abortions, and that received over 800,000 dollars in federal and state Medicaid funds in FY 2023.

However, Democrats are launching a full-throttle attack on this bill, calling it “heartless” and “extreme.” Why? Because it reforms Medicaid and blocks your tax dollars from being used to fund abortion.

There is much in this budget to be excited about. Let’s set the record straight in the face of the outright lies about this budget. It is a massive improvement over yet another “Continuing Resolution” that recycles Joe Biden’s bloated, abortion-funded budget.

For the first time in years, this budget brings accountability back into how our tax dollars are spent. Beyond ending funding for abortion, it will do all the following: 

• It requires able-bodied, working age (18-64) adults to work or volunteer 80 hours per month (20 per week) to continue receiving Medicaid benefits. 
• It establishes that veterans should work or volunteer 80 hours per month to receive SNAP food benefits. It fosters community, connection, and contribution within our neighborhoods and bolsters businesses that are struggling to find employees. 
• It closes the welfare loophole where a millionaire husband can hide behind his wife’s application and continue to collect Medicaid dollars — now both incomes will be reviewed before doling out our tax dollars. 
• It requires parents whose youngest child is 14 years old to work or volunteer at least 80 hours per month. 
• And most importantly: It defunds any abortion clinics that kill and maim children from profiting off OUR tax dollars. 

This budget brings back fiscal sanity to the sprawling mess of health care subsidies. And it puts guardrails on fraud and puts the focus on need — not political favoritism.

We are very close. But if even one amendment slips through, all these gains could be lost.

Planned Parenthood is fighting hard to derail the “Big Beautiful Bill.” They only need a simple majority to erase the pro-life wins.
