Friday is the deadline for the budget — This final week is critical!

Yesterday, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) introduced an amendment to strike the abortion defunding language, but her attempt was defeated. We are down to the wire, and Democrats are still fighting for our money to kill children. 

That’s why we’re mobilizing urgent faxes to the Senate right now. Every pro-life American needs to tell senators: “Defund Big Abortion.”

This may be our last chance to end taxpayer funding in this budget for the abortion giants. 

President Trump gave Congress until July 4 to pass the budget, which he named the Big Beautiful Bill. While both House and Senate versions defund abortion (at least for now), the differences must be reconciled.

Anything can happen between the House and Senate during reconciliation. We must guard against abortion being used as a bargaining chip.

The House already passed a strong pro-life budget. That bill defunded Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion for the next 10 years.

But when the bill reached the Senate, the parliamentarian ruled that 10-year provision violated the Byrd Rule and thus reduced the defunding to one-year. This means the abortion defunding battle will occur every year.

The next step is the final, high-stakes round during reconciliation.

Send your faxes to Congress right now. Insist that members fully defund abortion providers in this budget.

There are significant differences in spending levels between the House and Senate versions of the budget. Those differences must be reconciled — and that’s where dangerous “horse trading” happens. Everything becomes negotiable. Defunding abortion CANNOT be one of the trading chips. The lives of children are not negotiable!

Members of the Freedom Caucus are frustrated at the Senate’s changes regarding deficit spending. They are demanding the House version.

In a conference, a group of lawmakers from both chambers representing the various interests — the conferees — will meet behind closed doors to hammer out the final version of the budget. Each conferee must listen to their fellow members and leadership. We need to speak out now so every legislator knows that defunding abortionists is NON-NEGOTIABLE!

If the defunding provisions are removed, that means billions more to Planned Parenthood.
