Paying homeless people to vote caught on camera

On the streets of Los Angeles, James O’Keefe’s team personally witnessed and recorded homeless people getting paid illegally to register to vote or to sign petition signatures. One multi-prong sting operation in a single community observed and recorded this happening 28 times.

Cash. Cigarettes. Drugs … all were the payments given to the homeless.

The people signing papers did not understand the issues. Some had no clue what they were signing. They only knew they were being paid.

One worker’s goal was to make 1,000 dollars per day, getting people to sign. Another describes a pyramid scheme to manipulate the homeless while refusing to reveal for whom she works.

This is happening right now. People getting paid to vote. The only question left is: What will we do about it? Will we ignore this fraud, or will we end it by passing the SAVE America Act? The Senate is trying to dodge this and blame Democrats. But Republicans have the power to get this bill through by returning to a “talking filibuster.”

The Senate needs to hear from you, even if you have faxed before. Send as many faxes as possible to the Senate to demand action now.

On camera, homeless individuals were being approached and pressured into signing documents and voter-related paperwork they often did not understand. Others were told the petition did the exact opposite of what it actually did.

People were being tricked into political activity opposite to what they believed they were doing, and they were illegally paid.

Some homeless were urged to use fake addresses. “You can just put Pinocchio Lane,” one was told.

Unless you speak up now and demand a different path, this fraud will continue and even increase. That is why your voice is needed so badly in the Senate RIGHT NOW to demand passage of the SAVE America Act.

What I will share below is even more infuriating.

The Weingart Center — a nonprofit across the street from a hub of this illegal activity — had staff directing people to when and where they can get cash for signatures.

This Center received more than 100 million dollars in government funding. Yet public reporting indicates it was 21 months late on the required financial reporting and could not properly account for significant taxpayer funds. Much of what they didn’t properly report was tax dollars that went to the L.A. Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), which was coaching people on how to lie their way around getting caught for this election fraud.

LAHSA staff admit they’ve seen this money for voter registrations and petition signatures and coached people to feign ignorance. When asked if they thought someone could get away with this illegal activity, one staff member replied, “But a lot of times I have to say, ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea. How could I know, I don’t have a TV. I don’t have a home. My cell phone only works half the time. How could I know that that’s against the law, and I can’t afford a lawyer to ask.”

So, let’s be clear about what this looks like.

A taxpayer-funded ecosystem. Confused and vulnerable people. And political manipulation.

But the SAVE America Act will step into the middle and straighten this out.

If you want to change the direction of our nation, you should have to prove you are a citizen. And to vote, you need to show an official photo ID. But in today’s upside-down political world, even that basic safeguard is treated like some kind of moral outrage. 

Why? 

Because the people benefiting from confusion, loopholes, and weak enforcement do not want the system cleaned up. They want it blurred and compromised so they can exploit it.

This is not a crack in the system. It is a blaring siren.

It is about whether your country will be governed by truth — or by the machinery of manipulation that keeps getting bolder because too many weak people refuse to confront it.

Fax your Senators right now and tell them to pass the SAVE America Act before our vote disappears into the swamp.

We are in this fight because too many others are too cowardly, too compromised, or too comfortable to say what is happening out loud.
