We can still win this war to protect the preborn
It’s shocking. Congress failed in July to renew the one-year ban on funding for Planned Parenthood — the nation’s abortion king.
Despite Republican majorities in the House and Senate, Congress reopened the funding spigot on July 4, giving Planned Parenthood a fresh flood of tax dollars to take the lives of even more than the 434,450 babies it killed by abortion in 2024-2025.
With every day that passes, Planned Parenthood is raking in more money. And spilling the blood of even more preborn children.
But even though the abortion industry won this round, the war isn’t over.
We can still stop federal funding for Planned Parenthood. To do so, a budget bill must pass through committee, clear both chambers of Congress, and be signed by the president. Or the House could simply add it to reconciliation.
But to make this happen, you and I must speak out and demand that Congress act.
Republicans control the House, Senate, and White House. We should be celebrating a decisive pro-life victory. Instead, some Republicans refuse to stop this evil. We cannot allow this.
We need you to flood Congress right now.
Behind closed doors, at least three U.S. Republican representatives are pushing to preserve funds for Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. They are Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY), Jen Kiggans (R-VA), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA). These members are exerting significant pressure on House leadership to give up defunding Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion.
Usually, when we get close to ending taxpayer-funded abortion, something changes at the last minute. A backroom deal. A revision. A late-night amendment. An early-morning compromise. Then hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer money can flow to these abortion clinics.
This is a betrayal and an abandonment of one of the Republican Party’s most foundational principles — at the very moment the party holds power.
We need you to rise up and say NO! No more blood on our hands.
We recognize that Speaker Johnson is in a difficult place.
He can lose only three votes and still pass a budget out of the House to send the bill to the Senate. With these three Republicans threatening to defect, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are starting to receive hundreds of millions of dollars. Their allies are fighting hard to keep this pipeline of taxpayer money flowing into their pockets.
Liberty Counsel Action’s policy team is on Capitol Hill fighting this battle day in and day out. We are helping craft language. We are watching the Rules Committee docket — because we know how high the stakes are at this critical time.
Let’s be clear: What should be happening in Congress threatens their money, their power, and their agenda. That’s why these radicals are fighting so hard to stop these provisions before they even start inside the budget bill.
These same abortion groups are launching fresh attacks, claiming that unless these abortionists are fully funded with your tax dollars, it is “cruel” and “heartless.” But defunding would help protect women from dangerous clinics, save the lives of helpless children, reduce fraud, and restore financial integrity to federal health care funding.
It’s why we’re doubling our vigilance with every passing hour. And it’s why we need you to join this fight right now.
We are calling on you to stand shoulder to shoulder with us as we fight for LIFE in the halls of Congress.
Help Liberty Counsel Action continue this critical fight through your prayers, your partnership, and your gift. We cannot let up now. Your gift equips our team to remain in this battle until a defunding provision is added to the bill and passed by Congress.
This is a critical moment. We must hold the line — or everything we’ve worked for could be erased.
Let’s finish this fight together,
Mat Staver, Chairman
John Stemberger, President
