Tomorrow, Congress has the first chance to follow the will of Americans by not forcing us to fund Planned Parenthood

I recently interviewed Mayra Rodriguez — a former Planned Parenthood clinic manager who spent 17 years with the organization. In 2016, she was named Employee of the Year. The following year, she was fired over a shocking situation. I will share more below, but what Mayra (pronounced Myra) experienced is more reason why we should not fund Planned Parenthood.

But some organizations are so corrupt, so dangerous, and so destructive that they should never receive a dime of taxpayer money.

Tomorrow, critical legislative language will be “marked up” as the first step toward the final budget. We must make sure that this “markup” extends the ban on funding Planned Parenthood and abortion, which is set to expire on the FOURTH OF JULY! If the ban is allowed to expire, Planned Parenthood will rake in hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer funds.

Tomorrow, the key committees must deliver their budget recommendations. We must demand that defunding language be included.

The abortion industry could once again be back on the taxpayer-funded gravy train as of July 4.

After becoming the director of three Planned Parenthood clinics, Mayra told me that the clinics covered up abortion-related injuries. They reported complications from non-abortion procedures, but when it came to abortions, serious problems like uterine perforations and incomplete procedures were not reported. Medical records were altered to conceal the truth.

She raised alarms about falsified patient records, unreported statutory rape, and dangerous medical practices. In one disturbing case, a 19-year-old woman who was 14 weeks pregnant (with an IUD still in place) underwent an abortion. Assembling the body parts, the assistant could not find the baby’s head. But the abortionist didn’t care about leaving remnants behind — which could lead to life-threatening infection. When Mayra insisted on accounting for all the body parts, she was terminated three days later, less than a year after receiving the “Employee of the Year” award.

In August 2019, a jury awarded Mayra Rodriguez 3 million dollars in damages against Planned Parenthood for wrongful termination.

Now Mayra travels the country exposing what she calls the “pain and darkness” she once helped promote. “No one is too far gone for God,” she says.

“For 17 years, I helped no one … but I destroyed many,” Mayra said.

She’s right. Planned Parenthood is destroying many — and it doesn’t need our tax dollars to do it! Urge Congress to add language NOW to stop abortion providers from getting our tax dollars.

Mayra is still haunted by desperate phone calls from women who had taken the abortion pill. These women were told they would only pass a “blood clot.” Instead, they delivered — often in their own homes — recognizable babies with hands, feet, and faces.

Mayra replays the desperate late-night calls from women who took the abortion pill: mothers realizing they had killed a recognizable baby — with hands, feet, and a face — not “just a blood clot” like they were told.

One haunting case involved a woman who didn’t make it to the toilet in time. The instructions she received from Planned Parenthood were cold:

“Grab it, throw it in the toilet, flush, and don’t look.” Unbelievable!

This is the organization receiving more than 800 million taxpayer dollars in a single year? This is how they treat children, and their mothers?

For 17 years, Mayra tried to hide the reality of abortion. When her eyes were open to what Planned Parenthood was really doing, she became a changed person.

Like Mayra, many try to put out of mind the horror of abortion. That does not remove the problem. It does not rescue children from death. It condemns them to death.

Tomorrow’s language could set the course. I need you to act immediately.
