This historic victory could be torpedoed if this passes Congress

The largest children’s hospital in America is now opening the nation’s first “Detransition Clinic” to help kids harmed by prior “trans” procedures. Texas Children’s Hospital was forced to cease its secret “gender transition” operations after being sued by the state’s attorney general, Ken Paxton.

This was part of a landmark settlement regarding illegal activity under Texas law where the hospital pressured parents, prescribed puberty blockers and hormones, performed mutilating surgeries on minors, and then altered Medicaid billing codes to cover up their fraud.

The settlement requires the hospital to pay more than 10 million dollars to Texas for billing fraud. It must stop providing these procedures to children and terminate and revoke privileges for five of the doctors who were involved.

This is a stunning development. Now children who want to undo the damage done to them finally have a place to turn to for help.

But now, Congress could reverse this victory.

This is urgent. Congress is working to move forward and pass the Transgender Bill of Rights, H.Res. 1058. We need your voice now.

PROTECTS DOCTORS — NOT THEIR VICTIMS

More than 100 U.S. legislators are pushing the so-called “Transgender Bill of Rights.” It would send America in the wrong direction — with federal pressure to protect damaging trans procedures, even for minors, while shielding providers from civil, criminal, professional, and fraud-related accountability.

Texas officials discovered the hospital was billing Texas Medicaid for illegal procedures by using false diagnosis codes. As part of the settlement, Texas Children’s Hospital agreed to stop puberty blockers and hormones for minors and fund the nation’s first multidisciplinary hospital for five years at no cost to patients who were harmed no matter where the harm occurred.

Parents were pressured and fed lies. They were told their children were born in the wrong body and that the magic fix was drugs and surgeries.

When Dr. Ethan Haim blew the whistle on this illegal activity under Texas law, the hospital, and Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, came after him to ruin his career.

THUGS KNOCKING AT HER DOOR

The hospital also sent thugs to the home of Vanessa, a nurse who also blew the whistle. I interviewed Vanessa and she described the intimidation she felt when the people knocked on her door.

Now, Texas Children’s Hospital is being forced to help repair some of the damage. This historic settlement can set a precedent.

But that precedent won’t last long if the Transgender Bill of Rights passes.

It states that the intent is to protect “providers of gender-affirming care from specious consumer and medical fraud accusations based on their provision of medically necessary care.”

It is a shield for those who are harming kids and using our tax dollars for their profits. We cannot allow Congress to pass this awful language designed to hide the very industry that states like Texas are beginning to expose. Let Congress hear your voice today.

If Congress passes this so-called “Bill of Rights,” the next Texas-style victory could be much harder — or even impossible.
