Advancing Life and Liberty Through Action

These Battles Could Reshape The Nation

May 29, 2026

What’s on Your Ballot?

The battle for life, parental rights, women’s sports, marriage, and religious liberty is already underway in the 2026 election cycle.

And Liberty Counsel Action is right in the middle of it.

Activists are preparing ballot initiatives across 15 states that could dramatically reshape state constitutions and laws on abortion, gender ideology, same-sex marriage, parental rights, and protections for children. These measures range from attempts to expand abortion access and taxpayer funding to proposals affecting girls’ sports, parental notification rights, and biological sex protections.

If we want to defend faith, family, life, and common sense, we must begin educating voters, supporting grassroots advocacy, and mobilizing communities before these initiatives reach the ballot box.

Your support today helps fund outreach, voter education, and state-level efforts to stand for truth and protect our constitutional freedoms in 2026. Help us engage these critical battles before it’s too late.

This is not a distant threat. It’s already underway. Not just through legislation. Not just through court rulings. But many of these seek to actually rewrite state constitutions or state laws!

Liberty Counsel Action is leading the nation and working with like-minded groups on these ballot initiatives. Some we support and some we oppose.

The following is a brief overview of many battle fronts across the country with bad measures shown in italics below:

  • Arizona — Protect Girls’ Sports Statutory Amendment
Requires school sports teams to be designated based on biological sex and preserves fairness in women’s athletics.

  • Colorado — Protect Children from Irreversible Sex Change Surgery
Ban sex-change surgeries on minors and stop taxpayer funding.

  • Colorado — Protect Women and Girls Sports Act
Preserve female sports based on biological sex.

  • Idaho — "Reproductive Freedom" and "Privacy" Amendment
Establish broad abortion and “reproductive freedom” protections.

  • Maine — Protect Girls’ Sports Initiative
Protect female sports, locker rooms, and private spaces.

  • Missouri — Pro-Life & Pro-Biological Constitutional Amendments
Protect unborn life and prohibit trans procedures on minors.

  • Nebraska — Pro-Life Constitutional Amendment
    Strengthen protections for unborn children.

  • Nevada — Protect Girls’ Sports Constitutional Amendment
Preserve female athletic competition based on biological sex.

  • Nevada — Pro-Abortion Constitutional Amendment
    Enshrine abortion rights.

  • Ohio — Same-Sex Marriage Constitutional Amendment
    Add protections for same-sex marriage.

  • Ohio — “Equal Rights" Constitutional Amendment
Expand protections for abortion, gender identity, and “trans” care.

  • Vermont — “Equal Rights" Constitutional Amendment
Expand access to cross-gender identity and abortion.

  • Virginia — “Right to Reproductive Freedom" Amendment
Establish abortion and rights. (Our sister organization Liberty Counsel is battling it in the courts.)

  • Virginia — Same-Sex Marriage Constitutional Amendment
Remove language defining marriage as one man and one woman.

  • Washington — Protecting Fairness in Girls’ Sports Initiative
Keep biological males out of female school sports.

  • Washington — Parents’ Bill of Rights Initiative
Restore parental notification rights regarding student records, health information, and school activities.

We are working to:

  • Support policy analysis in each targeted state,
  • Mobilize grassroots efforts,
  • Educate voters on these amendments.
  • Defend life, parental rights, women’s safety, religious liberty, and biological truth.

But this effort requires immediate action and is costly.

The opposition is already spending heavily — one donor has given millions to continue this culture of death. Radicals are organizing statewide campaigns and preparing to flood the airwaves with deceptive messaging.

We ask for your support to help execute our plan of action with your monthly donation or a single donation right now. These initiatives could reshape state laws. We need your support for this massive campaign.
