Senator Lee Needs Help To Pass This

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has been pushing tirelessly for the SAVE America Act — legislation requiring proof of citizenship to register and photo identification to vote. But his work advocating for what most Americans want (including most Democrats) is raising the ire of certain senators.

Sen. Lee is being attacked both publicly and privately. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who was just soundly defeated in the primary, is one of the ringleaders.

This is the same person Senate Majority Leader John Thune worked to protect in the Texas Republican primary. The massive sum of 120 million dollars failed to fool Texas voters.

Now Sen. Cornyn is taking out his anger on Sen. Lee. We cannot let Sen. Lee face this fight alone! Fax Congress to pass the Save America Act.

Our election system lacks many safeguards used to protect elections in other nations. In fact, we are worse than some third-world nations.

Regarding the Save America Act, Sen. Cornyn said: “Not gonna happen.”

Then Sen. Cornyn said anyone who believed Congress could pass this was “naive or misinformed.”

Thankfully, Sen. Lee refused to surrender.

“I’m neither naive nor misinformed,” Sen. Lee fired back. “I’m just unwilling to pretend we have no ability to avoid failure.”

He is right.

President Trump is applying pressure, saying this is one of the most important bills in Congress.

Sen. Lee said: “It could happen if we put the SAVE America Act on the floor with strong resolve to continue debating it until it passes [we could pass it]. I’m neither naive nor misinformed. I’m just unwilling to pretend we have no ability to avoid failure.” (emphasis added)

Right now, Sen. Lee desperately needs a flood of support — faxes pouring into Congress and demanding action ahead of the midterm elections. Tell Congress to follow President Trump’s lead. No more excuses. No more procedural surrender. Pass the SAVE America Act.
