Will we pick up this mantle to secure elections?

Only hours before Sen. Lindsey Graham’s sudden death, he called President Donald Trump. Although Graham had just returned from Ukraine, his mind was fixed on an unfinished battle here at home.

President Trump said the senator had been “pushing the SAVE America Act like crazy.” Sen. Graham (R-SC) told him, “We’re all set for the SAVE America Act” in the Senate. Those words were among Lindsey Graham’s communication to the president.

A senator stood at the edge of eternity — and one of the last battles on his heart was the fight to protect elections.

The reason is clear. The previous administration “released at least 4.6 million illegal aliens into the country, with 1.8 million known ‘gotaways.’ In many states, these illegal aliens are eligible for driver’s licenses and other benefits, providing ample opportunities to illegally register to vote in Federal elections,” warned Rep. Chip Roy.

We cannot allow Washington to bury the SAVE America Act when election security is under assault and at severe risk.
