Planned Parenthood promised defeat for Republicans 

Planned Parenthood promised political retaliation. Now it's following through. 

Just days after regaining access to taxpayer funding in early July, Planned Parenthood's political arm announced a staggering 47 million dollar campaign to defeat Republicans, especially those who voted to stop taxpayer dollars from flowing to the abortion giant. 

Think about that for a moment. For months, Planned Parenthood argued that losing federal Medicaid funding was crippling its operations. The organization closed or consolidated nearly 60 facilities after Congress temporarily cut off that funding. In other words, taxpayer dollars were helping keep those abortion centers open. 

Then, as soon as the funding was restored on July 5, the super PAC, Planned Parenthood Votes, unveiled one of the largest political spending campaigns in its history. 

Its message couldn't be clearer: 

Keep the taxpayer money flowing, or we'll spend millions to defeat the lawmakers who stand in our way. 

But regardless of Planned Parenthood’s malice toward lawmakers, Congress must act now to permanently defund Planned Parenthood. We have a plan and are working in Washington daily on this. 

But we need your help now to build pressure on Congress to include a total ban on abortion funding in the budget Reconciliation 3.0. Congress needs to hear from you now with as many faxes as possible!

It’s outrageous that Planned Parenthood takes in billions in government support while its affiliates turn around and use millions to pressure elected officials into preserving that funding stream and defeating pro-life Republicans in Congress. Yet that is exactly the cycle we are witnessing.  

When Planned Parenthood Votes announced its campaign, Executive Director Sarah Standiford declared, "We're in the fight of our lives." 

But Planned Parenthood's fight is not about survival. 

It is about preserving political power, protecting taxpayer funding, and advancing an agenda that has cost millions of unborn lives. 

Since Roe v. Wade, more than 67 million abortions have been performed in the United States. Now Planned Parenthood is investing tens of millions of dollars to ensure that the lawmakers who oppose its funding "lose their jobs." 

This is political intimidation on a national scale. 

Taxpayer dollars help cover Planned Parenthood’s operating expenses. Those resources strengthen Planned Parenthood's network and influence. Its political arm then raises and spends millions to elect candidates who will keep taxpayer money flowing. 

Then the cycle repeats itself. 

That cycle must end. Tell Congress to stop funding Planned Parenthood and other Big Abortion providers by adding an abortion defunding provision to Reconciliation 3.0.

Liberty Counsel Action is working to expose what is happening, mobilize concerned Americans, and press Congress to permanently stop taxpayer funding of the abortion industry.
