Europe should be America's warning. For years, Europeans allowed mass immigration to reshape communities while struggling with radicalization and terrorist violence. 

Paris. Brussels. London ... now this has come to New York, too.  

Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of America's largest city is a Twelver Shia Muslim — the same sect of Islam embraced by the radicals ruling Iran.  

Earlier this year, Mamdani visited a Queens mosque. Minutes after he addressed the crowd, an imam came forward, invoked the coming Mahdi (the hoped-for Muslim “messiah”) and publicly prayed for “the killing of the infidels by your sword.” Mamdani made no reported attempt to distance himself or counter this.  

And that wasn't the only time this happened. 

In May, Democrat congressional candidate Brad Lander spoke at the same mosque. After Lander's remarks, an imam also prayed concerning the “killing of the infidels.” 

This isn't Europe. It’s in the heart of the Big Apple, and it’s happening over and over again. 

When are we going to wake up and believe what radical voices are saying publicly?

America should heed this warning and block the first step of their agenda — to install Sharia law in our nation. There are already two bills in Congress to ban Sharia in America.  H.R. 5722, the No Sharia Act, would prohibit applying Sharia in America. Its Senate counterpart is S. 3009. Both are in committee now. Tell Congress to pass these critical bills without delay.

Sharia is not merely a religious practice but is a system of laws and priorities that are completely opposed to the rights and freedoms protected in our Constitution. It is a broad system of directives that govern marriage, divorce, inheritance, business transactions, and even criminal law — all in a way that establishes separate classes of people and subjugates one group under another. 

It banishes religious freedom, establishes totalitarian rule, and is infamous for its draconian penalties — amputation for thieves, death for apostates. 

And because it is deemed supreme above all other law, Sharia is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution. If implemented, it will ultimately destroy our nation. 

Legislation is already waiting to block this destruction from happening here. Send as many faxes as possible to Congress to pass H.R. 5722 and its Senate counterpart, S. 3009, before this violence gets even a larger foothold in America. 

This threat is not merely theoretical. 

A soft Sharia is already imposed in some U.S. cities. In New York City and Minneapolis, as well as Muslim-majority cities like Dearborn, Michigan, the adhan — Islam's dissonant call to prayer — sounds out up to five times daily on loudspeakers declaring “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is greater) for all to hear. In some cities, the clamor begins at 5 a.m.

But freedom survives only when Americans are willing to defend it.
