It was about 4:00 in the morning when Jona Affholder woke up. Her pregnancy test was positive ... and they had been fighting. Her boyfriend, Dr. Hassan-James Abbas, really wanted her to get an abortion.

She refused time and time again. Then his attitude changed, at least temporarily. “He offered acts of kindness. He even started getting me hot chocolates daily. Little did I know that he was slowly poisoning our baby and me with the abortion drugs he’d bought online using his ex-wife’s information.”

Now it was the middle of the night, and he was on top of her shoving his fingers inside her mouth. The realization dawned on her that he was forcing abortion pills down her throat.

She fought back. She clamped her mouth shut. But he jammed his fingers next to her gums, pushing the broken pills and powder in to quickly dissolve and enter her bloodstream.

She kept fighting. When she finally broke free, she ran to the kitchen and called 911. Abbas chased her, ripped the phone away, and hung up the call. Authorities later confirmed a 911 hang-up call from the location at approximately 4:50 a.m. About 70 minutes later, Jona got to an emergency room, but she was already bleeding. It was too late.

Part of Big Abortion's business involves coerced abortions. Women taken against their will to abortion facilities, secretly slipped abortion pills by boyfriends, or badgered and pressured until she abandons her own child.

And every day our government is sending our tax dollars to these same Big Abortion providers — enabling murder. Every. Single. Day.

Demand Congress end this now by passing a budget bill to defund Big Abortion — including Planned Parenthood.

Jona says that when she told Abbas she was pregnant, he wanted an abortion. She repeatedly told him she did not.

Abbas ordered mifepristone and misoprostol from an out-of-state telemedicine abortion provider. A week later, he offered her hot chocolate (the method used by others to poison and kill their baby).

Abbas admitted in court that he did all the following:

• He admitted researching and ordering mifepristone and misoprostol after learning his girlfriend was pregnant.
• He admitted using his estranged wife’s identifying information.
• He admitted crushing the abortion medication so it would dissolve more quickly.
• And he admitted administering the crushed medication to Jona.

Abbas pleaded no contest to multiple charges, including unlawful distribution of an abortion-inducing drug, identity fraud, deception to obtain a dangerous drug, and disrupting public services. And on Sept. 11, 2026, Abbas was sentenced to six months in jail.

The State Medical Board of Ohio had already suspended his medical credentials, concluding that his continued practice in medicine presented “a danger of immediate and serious harm to the public.”

But the business that shipped the pills to enable this murder wasn’t even named.

Day after day, Big Abortion — including Planned Parenthood — mails deadly abortion pills nationwide while taking in taxpayer dollars. In so doing, they aid and abet the death of tiny preborn human babies. And in some cases, they also enable the abuse of the women forced to abort.

Big Abortion has no business shoving its hand into taxpayers’ wallets. Tell Congress to eliminate all federal funding for Big Abortion — especially Planned Parenthood.

Urge Congress to cut off taxpayer dollars for abortion now!
