Taxpayer funded terrorists at the UN 

Almost immediately after the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel, a disturbing connection emerged. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was at the same time deeply connected to brutal Hamas terrorists. 

Nineteen UNRWA staff were investigated; nine were fired.  

UNRWA promised to clean house. But they didn’t. 

The American government kept investigating. We found evidence connecting 108 current and former UNRWA staff to terrorism. These terrorists masqueraded as teachers. School principals. Deputy principals. Security personnel. Counselors. Medical professionals.  

In reality, they were helping commit the deadliest attack on Israeli soil in the last century and brainwashing students to violence. The U.N. budget notes specifically that it pays the salaries of UNRWA international staff. 

This is how this funding path now works:  

American taxpayer $$ --> United Nations --> UNRWA salaries  

We can’t believe that we are still funneling our tax dollars to terrorism! This needs to stop NOW. One way to make that happen is to strip funding for the U.N. in the appropriations bills being negotiated now.   

Send a flood of urgent faxes telling Congress to strip funding for the U.N. out of the budget process in negotiations happening in Congress now!

These are not wild accusations of terrorism on social media.  

These accusations come from the U.S. government’s own Inspector General, who found evidence connecting scores of current and former employees of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees — UNRWA — to Hamas’s military wing and/or the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel. 

In June, the USAID Office of Inspector General announced that it had referred 101 current or former UNRWA employees for possible federal suspension or debarment based on evidence of participation in the October 7 attack and/or affiliation with Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades. 

Together with earlier referrals, the investigation had reached 108 current or former UNRWA personnel. But that's just scratching the surface. There may be at least 1,500 UNRWA-linked individuals who are suspected of terror ties, according to a Washington Free Beacon report.  

Among the cases already identified by investigators were: 

• A deputy school principal allegedly serving as a Hamas deputy company commander. 
• Another deputy principal allegedly serving as a Hamas squad leader. 
• A teacher allegedly serving in Hamas military intelligence. 
• Another teacher allegedly trained as a sniper. 
• A teacher/Hamas fighter allegedly ordered to bring two anti-tank missiles to a designated location on October 7. 

These are high-level staff freely operating within a terrorist network and UNRWA did not stop them.  

For decades, America has been the leading funder of UNRWA. A Trump executive order put an end to direct funding in February 2025. But UNRWA still receives U.N. funding, and the U.S. still funds the United Nations. This must stop.  

Our nation cannot be funding organizations that partner — directly or indirectly — with terrorist groups like Hamas. Again, there is one way to stop this grotesque abuse. Congress is working out the details on our budget, and that includes if we will fund the U.N. or not. 

Urge Congress to act now to defund the U.N. by cutting them off in our budget bills! We cannot waste our taxpayer dollars by giving them to terrorists.
