Our Tax Dollars are Going to Terrorists

Oct 6, 2026

19 employees.

That is how many workers employed by United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) have been investigated by the U.N. over alleged Hamas ties or participation in the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

But that is, effectively, a whitewash. The actual number is much, much higher — and the stories are harrowing.

UN Watch, a pro-Israel watchdog, has been researching UNRWA for years. It has accumulated "verifiable cases of 490 UNRWA staff who are members of terrorist groups, educators who glorify mass murder, terror leaders influencing UNRWA decisions," and more.

In one case, an Israeli abducted into Gaza on Oct. 7 was held captive in the attic of an UNRWA teacher whose salary was paid by the United Nations. He was nearly starved for almost two months and denied desperately needed medicine.

Another report notes that “hundreds of [UNRWA] teachers that we have identified” praised and celebrated the Oct. 7 massacre. “[W]hat we see is an institution mechanism where UNRWA employees ... incite violence, promote antisemitism, and create their own education materials with the UNRWA brand.”

Horrified at the UNRWA-Hamas connection, Congress cut off funding for UNRWA in 2024. But our tax dollars still flow to the U.N., and those dollars still help pay the salaries of UNRWA workers, some of whom moonlight for Hamas as teacher-terrorists.

It’s time to stop this. Send your faxes to urge Congress to STOP funding terror immediately.

It's no wonder that the U.S. envoy to the U.N., Jeff Bartos, calls UNRWA a "subsidiary of Hamas."

UNRWA’s promotion of violence in Gaza is so pervasive that it even seeps into unexpected places. The USAID Office of Inspector General’s ongoing investigation resulted in suspension/debarment referrals for 108 current or former UNRWA personnel who either participated in the Oct. 7 attacks and/or had Hamas affiliations.

On Oct. 7, an UNRWA teacher/Hamas member invaded Israel and exulted in an intercepted phone call, telling a friend, “I’m inside, I’m inside with the Jews! We have female hostages, I captured one!” The Arabic word this UNRWA teacher used for female hostages is a term jihadis use to indicate sex slaves.

It is time to stop paying the salaries of teacher-terrorists with American taxpayer dollars. We have a window of opportunity now to make this happen. Urge Congress to act immediately to stop American tax dollars from funding terror through the United Nations!

The heartless inhumanity of Hamas is beyond belief. Hamas raped women with such brutality that the victims suffered broken pelvises. One rapist shot his victim in the head while raping her. And there are countless other situations much too graphic to describe.

Yet, the U.N. is still funding UNRWA's payroll, and U.S. taxpayer dollars still go to the U.N. But thanks to friends like you, Liberty Counsel Action is working in Washington to cut U.N. funding and make your voice heard.

But to keep on doing so, we need your help now. Please consider a generous gift now to help us do more. At this critical time, your gift helps us expose this evil and work to stop funding it too!
