Nearly 130,000 dollars in campaign contributions reported for Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed came from individuals currently or previously affiliated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
CAIR was created to fund Hamas, a U.S.-designated terror organization responsible for slaughtering some 1,200 people — mostly Israelis — on October 7, 2023.
This controversial organization was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism-financing case. A federal judge found substantial evidence of historical associations between CAIR, the Holy Land Foundation, and Hamas.
In addition, there are disturbing new allegations involving a Detroit mosque.
With the November 3 election approaching, Americans deserve to know the truth, no matter where it leads.
On Election Day, I want to know that, together, we have done everything we could to fight this battle. We need your help. Donate today to partner with us to educate voters.
El-Sayed's family’s connection to terrorism is even more chilling:
El-Sayed's father-in-law, a former CAIR-Michigan leader, reportedly contributed 300,000 dollars to a super PAC supporting his candidacy.
His half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, previously described longstanding Muslim Brotherhood involvement within her family — specifically naming their mother’s activism in this group and how proud she was of it.
His sister-in-law, Mariam Jukaku, appeared in federal litigation challenging her inclusion in the government's terrorism-screening database. She was placed there under Obama, who is now campaigning with El-Sayed.
While El-Sayed has denied personally being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, he has defended his sister-in-law, claiming she had done nothing wrong. This is deeply concerning!

These CAIR-related donations have renewed scrutiny of this organization.
CAIR's checkered history includes one of America's most consequential terrorism-financing prosecutions.
In 2008, five Holy Land Foundation officials were convicted in a federal case involving financial support for Hamas.
CAIR was named among the unindicted co-conspirators or joint venturers. In 2009, U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis ruled there was substantial evidence of historical associations between CAIR, the Holy Land Foundation, and Hamas.
The historical connection remains significant because Hamas itself emerged from the Muslim Brotherhood movement. A 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum described an objective of undermining Western civilization from within. The document became part of the broader federal evidentiary record examined during the Holy Land Foundation proceedings.
Is this effort to internally undermine our civilization what we are seeing today?
We need to push back against this now. Our work also includes education, prayer, and a continuing commitment to principled civic engagement. Will you help sustain our work?
Meanwhile, another investigation has raised questions about extremist rhetoric and federal funding in Detroit.
El-Sayed attends prayer at the Islamic Center of Detroit. On October 20, the Middle East Forum (MEF) published on video 44 instances of sermons, prayers, and lectures advocating violence at the Islamic Center of Detroit. Among the repeated statements was the call for enemies to be killed individually, with none left alive.
MEF also found that more than 45 million dollars in federal funding has gone to programs administered through the center since 2017.
Liberty Counsel Action is a part of the leadership of a nationwide coalition calling for and supporting voter education, civic participation, and prayer across all 50 states.
That work includes providing information on the issues, public records, and constitutional principles shaping America's elections.
Religious liberty, public accountability, national security, and the constitutional rights of every American are serious matters.
Americans deserve facts they can examine for themselves.
